This is a Sunset, without the sun. The sun was hiding behind the clouds, while haze on the hills created a lovely refraction, that appears like a glow.

Serenity at Pachi
We were just departing off Pachi ( a port town off Athens) and a tiring day was beautifully ended by this lovely sunset.

Windmills
Happy New year to you, Wishing you a Prosperous and fun filled 2010.
I have seen a steady increase in the number of windmills that line up the Turkish coast, since 2004, when I visited it for the first time. A majestic sunset was made interesting by silhouettes of a few windmills.

A lovely Sunset off Genoa
One of the most endearing sights on board a ship are the lovely sunrises and sunsets. The sky wears a completely different attire at that time.
I used a very small aperture here ( f/32) to get a sharp outline of the peak.

Working Until Dusk
Tried to get a silhouette, with a setting sun background. One of my shipstaff was painting the crane and created a beautiful frame.
Smoke Screen
A smoke screen envelops the setting sun as man pumps in the toxins hidden inside mother earth into the open atmosphere. Earth had hidden many polluting resources deep inside her so that it would not be accesible to the careless humans that we are. But the ever greedy mankind just dug deep into mother earth and is now haphazardly using these without any concern about its effects.
